Description
Provides emergency, first aid and other minor health services to students in a school setting.
Administers student health records and assists parents with simple medication dispensation.
Performs a wide variety of student health care activities including skilled nursing care to students, CPR and first aid as needed, regular review of possible health care problems, and general awareness of developments in the health care field as they apply to the school setting.
Administers medications and provides patient care activities within the scope accorded by licensure.
Performs various health care activities and related nonprofessional services essential to caring for the personal needs and comfort of injured or ill students.
Completes, forwards and files required state and local health forms and accident reports.
The School Nurse will possess certifications, licenses and insurance compliant with all State and diocesan policies and laws.
