Position Title: Director of Faith and Mission
Status: Exempt
Division: St. Michael the Archangel High School
Reports to: President
Position Objective
The Director of Faith and Mission is responsible for the formation and distinctly Catholic culture of the school. This position works directly with the President and Principal, and provides support and leadership to students and faculty within the daily life of the school. This position is full time 40 hours a week.
Essential Functions
- Oversee all aspects of Catholic Identity.
- Ensure student faith formation inside and outside of the classroom.
- Drive, lead and support the school’s community system.
- Manage theology department and campus ministry team.
- Direct student, faculty, and staff faith formation.
- Review classroom curricula for mission alignment.
- Evaluate communication of Catholic mission in key school documents (e.g. admissions materials, employee handbook, parent-student handbook, etc.).
- Drive mission aspects of hiring faculty and staff.
- Ensure onboarding of new employees includes a comprehensive introduction to school culture and campus life.
- Direct and oversee parent/guardian formation.
- Organize and lead pilgrimages for students and/or parents.

- Make timely, well-reasoned decisions; intelligently analyze issues and balance fact-based analysis with intuition, information, and experience.
- Collaborate with administration, faculty, staff, and students on an on-going basis throughout the year.
- Demonstrate trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions.
- Use strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Promote a sense of collaboration and teamwork with the school and community.
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Theology preferred or equivalent education and experience.
- Practicing Catholic with ethical standards, personal integrity, and conduct consistent with the morals and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Minimum 5 years administrative experience.
