Description
Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic School (OLP) is seeking a Communications Coordinator who is responsible for developing and implementing communication to ensure the OLP school mission and message reaches all families and stakeholders. This position includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Oversee various communication platforms including the school website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Develop and produce a variety of communication materials including weekly newsletters, forms, mailings, and other publications to effectively share information with families.
- Graphic design.
- Create and manage various Signup Genius events.
- Manage Remind text communications.
- Assist with the coordination of our Panther Partners Program through mailings and publications and ensure donors receive all benefits for various levels of support.
- Develop publications including handbooks, calendars, flyers, and posters to promote school events.
- Manage and design Electronic Billboard communications.
- Build and maintain relationships with our parish as well as other media outlets by submitting photos and information for weekly Church Bulletin, Lee’s Summit Lifestyle publication, and other advertisements as needed.
- Oversee the design and publication of the school Yearbook.
- Help develop and implement plans to effectively communicate during emergencies or other events through Remind texts, social media, and emails.
- Manage school supply lists and work with school supply company orders.
Requirements
Qualifications: knowledge of Social Media, strong communication and writing skills, the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and foster a positive and collaborative environment, the ability to identify and resolve communication issues effectively.
Experience in the area of communication, design, and development preferred.
Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Canva, and Constant Contact preferred.
