Job Title: St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Head High School Football Coach
Position Overview:
St. Michael the Archangel High School is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, spiritual growth, and personal development, is seeking an experienced and passionate Football Coach to lead our football program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to student-athlete development, and a dedication to upholding the values of the Catholic faith.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and execute all aspects of the varsity football program, including practices, games, and off-season training.
- Serve as a role model for student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect.
- Ensure alignment of the football program with the school’s mission and Catholic values.
- Foster the personal, academic, and athletic development of student-athletes.
- Organize and oversee assistant coaches, ensuring consistency in coaching philosophy and program goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to build a competitive football program while maintaining the holistic development of student-athletes.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, budgets, equipment, and facility needs.
- Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and state athletic regulations.
- Promote and encourage participation in community service activities that reflect Catholic values.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience coaching football, preferably at the high school level or higher.
- Strong understanding of football fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, sports management, or a related field
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and positively influence student-athletes.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in athletic training and injury prevention.
Work Environment:
- Evening and weekend hours required for games, practices, and other team events.
- Participation in school-wide events and activities as a representative of the football program.
