Description
Catholic Cemetery Association seeks to immediately fill our Operations/Business Manager position. This is a full-time position reporting to the General Manager. This position oversees all financial aspects of the cemeteries including planning and budgeting, banking relationships, stewardship, insurance and risk, as well as human resources duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain bookkeeping records for the Catholic Cemeteries Association.
- Prepare, administer, and review budget process in collaboration with General Manager, Executive Directors and the cemetery board, subject to review and/or approval.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Direct cash management to include deposits, bank reconciliations, managing disbursements.
- Review and communicate the cash position as directed.
- Maintain sound banking relationships, including the reconciliation of all banking records.
- Coordinate liability and property insurance, and workers compensation.
- Perform core HR administrative functions such as payroll, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, timekeeping, and medical leaves such as STD and/or FMLA.
- Reconcile contracts with internal Nexus programs.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum three years’ experience in office administration and Accounting/Bookkeeping or closely related fields; non-profit is preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in business or accounting is a strong plus.
- Intermediate skills in QuickBooks, Word and Excel.
- A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church is highly preferred; a person of the Christian faith who supports the mission and ministry of Catholic Cemeteries is required.
- Occasional travel between cemetery locations may be needed.
- Final candidates will be required to take a bookkeeping test prior to hire.
