Description
Plan and implement activities and opportunities that encourage children’s curiosity, exploration, and problem solving.
Provide the children with age-appropriate activities that promote physical, intellectual, social and spiritual growth.
Adapt teaching needs to each child on their level of capabilities and learning styles.
Develop lesson plans that are age appropriate and incorporate all areas of Creative Curriculum.
Plan and prepare the classroom daily.
Play with children on the floor/indoors/outdoors.
Supervise children indoors and outdoors.
Ability to clean classrooms.
Ability to change diapers.
Ability to help children with changing their clothes/putting shoes on etc.
Interact with parents and families daily; maintain open and cooperative communication with parents and families, encouraging their involvement in the program and supporting the child’s family relationships.
Help children with their homework.
Requirements
Desire to work with children.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid organization skills.
Basic computer skills.
Patient and engaging personality.
Able to work well with others. Flexibility and comfort in changing to other classrooms.
Knowledge of Creative Curriculum. Dependable, responsible and punctual.
Posses the ability to maintain composure and keep emotions calm while dealing with stressful situations.
Self - control during stressful situations.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years old.
CDA, Bachelors in Early Childhood or related field preferred.
Childcare experience preferred.
