Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the development and execution of Augustine Institute integrated marketing plans, communications plans, and campaigns. This role leads strategic go-to-market planning. The Director of Product Marketing serves as marketing representative on the Augustine Institute project intake team. They ensure the consolidation and alignment of branded product and program promises and champion thematic deployment of multi-product tactics apostolate wide. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to ensure consistent brand messaging and unique selling propositions across all lines of business, managing associated budgets and timelines with focus on adoption, engagement, and retention. They will form and nurture existing strategic advertising and marketing partnerships. The Director of Product Marketing will lead a team of Product Marketing Managers to ensure all strategies tie to measurable OKRs and associated KPIs. Marketing plans will be delivered in templatized decks that standardize planning structure, and bring clarity and cohesion. The role will be accountable for the growth of the Augustine Institute, Amen prayer and meditation app, Formed, Word of Life, the Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology, on-campus events, and charitable giving.
Specific duties below may not be all-inclusive:
Leads and manages a team of five Product Marketing Managers to develop and deliver all integrated marketing plans for the Augustine Institute.
Serve as accountable lead for marketing campaigns.
Develop apostolate-wide marketing strategies, message maps, and product hypotheses based on user insights, data analysis, and mission alignment.
In tandem with the Director of Digital Marketing, ensure marketing process insights (such as Design Thinking) are accounted for and implemented into long-term marketing plans.
Vet and approve marketing plans for Product Marketing Management team to ensure communications plan development, task entry in project management software, and team capacity planning.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain, grow, and refine existing product verticals according to Augustine Institute key messaging, virtue pillars, and varied market demands.
Spearhead a cohesive multi-brand communications strategy while maintaining the independence of each brand vertical.
Manage marketing campaign intake in ClickUp, ensuring launch readiness and feasibility.
Lead campaign approval meetings in collaboration with marketing leadership and manage the process and quality control of the steps preceding an approved campaign.
Ensure lead time and cycle time of campaigns are managed according to SOPs minimizing interrupting work.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain, grow, and refine product line depth and breadth.
Partner with Product Management to ensure concerns are heard and addressed, and campaign goals are aligned with stakeholder goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing or in a related field.
MA in Theology and knowledge of the Augustine Institute and its products is strongly preferred.
At least 10 years of professional experience with a focus on marketing strategy development, operational efficiency, and general management.
Experience leading projects and teams toward measurable outcomes.
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
Experience as an account manager for multiple clients is preferred.
Experience with CRMs and marketing automation software such as HubSpot, Sales Force, or Marketo.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
An understanding of the Catholic Church, general knowledge of diocesan, parish, and Catholic school organization and operations, and a deep empathy with Catholics from all walks of life.
Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and processes.
Experience with Agile Marketing, Design Thinking, and/or Lean 6 Sigma methodologies.
