Description
Catholic Cemeteries Associated, a ministry of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, is seeking a professional individual, qualified to provide administrative support and assistance to the CCA team. The position is primarily responsible for the Marker Department including the memorial ordering process - from the initial order to placement, ensuring high satisfaction for the family and cemetery staff. This position is considered full-time, averaging 40 hours per week with at least one Saturday in rotation per month. Availability to work on Memorial Day Weekend is required. The Marker Department is located in the offices at Mr. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64138.
Essential duties:
- Log all memorials and track throughout the process, coordinating with all CCA Counselors.
- Place memorial orders and track the process through receipt and placement at grave site.
- Process vendor statements to prove purchase and receipt of invoiced items with “approval to pay” for each vendor statement, monthly to accounting.
- Work with vendor representatives to provide the best purchase of memorials including pricing, purchase orders and delivery status. Meet vendors in person as necessary.
- Provide monument bids for counselors as required.
- Assist with general office duties as needed including, but not limited to filing, answering phones and assisting visitors.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Software: Word, Excel, G-Mail. Knowledge of Publisher and MailerLite is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to exchange information clearly and concisely.
- Extremely detail oriented with the ability to follow multiple tasks from beginning through completion.
- Build constructive working relationships characterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation and mutual respect.
Training:
- All necessary training for the design, development and bidding of monuments will be provided including all software platforms required.
- Complete familiarization with the memorial process, charting and pricing will be provided.
- Training in the design of email blasts in the MailerLite platform will be provided.
