THE POSITION: The Front Office support role is expected to support the front office by answering phones, monitoring door access, and directing parent, student, and teacher questions to the appropriate person. He/she understands and shares the stated vision for the front office in the school and plays a crucial role in its implementation and refinement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese of Denver
- Abides by the Confidentiality Policy set forth in the Faculty Handbook
- Communicates effectively with students, parents and other professionals
- Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor and work habits
- Assist front office manager as needed
- Answer phones in the front office and direct callers to correct people or information
- Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff
- Works in a team environment and encourages open communication regarding concerns/issues with children, parents and co-workers
- To adhere to the Schools Policy and Procedures
- Additional duties assigned by the principal
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, Windows, Office 365, Smart Notebook, and applicable school software. Ability to maintain current CPR and 1st Aid certifications
- Maintain good physical health with the ability to perform job duties, lift 30 pounds, move quickly, bend, squat, kneel, sit on floor, reach overhead

- Skill in Windows OS; specifically Windows 7 and 10, Microsoft Office, OneDrive
- Have a basic knowledge of server and network operations and maintenance
- Good people skills are essential as the person who works in this position works around children and with others as a team
- Capable of receiving and following instructions
- A self-starter, capable of independent work
- Must meet all requirements to pass a background check

- Solid computer skills and ability to manage and report data accurately and efficiently

- Must complete all classes/seminars as directed by Good Shepherd Catholic School and the Archdiocese of Denver
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis
- Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing and moving/setting up equipment
- Required to monitor students
- Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion
