Description
ENTITY: Mt. Olivet Cemetery was consecrated in 1892 and is located on the western side of the Denver Metro area in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It is the largest cemetery in Colorado containing 392 acres. St. Simeon Cemetery was consecrated in 2004 and is located on the eastern side of the Denver Metro area in Aurora, Colorado. The Mortuary was opened in 1981 and now has two physical locations. The first is located on the grounds of Mt. Olivet Cemetery and the second is the historic Caldwell-Kirk location on N. Marion in Denver. These entities serve the Catholic Community of the Denver metro area and its various parishes, missions, and apostolates and other members of the public regardless of their religious affiliation.
THE POSITION: The Administrative Coordinator to St. Simeon Cemetery is responsible for providing administrative and clerical duties at the location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Performing day to day administrative duties as required,
- Emphasis on being self-reliant and able to work independently with little supervision,
- Strong communication skills,
- Greeting and directing customers who come to visit and do business with Saint Simeon,
- Provide grave locations for families visiting the cemetery,
- Perform accurate data entry,
- Process pre-need and at-need funeral and cemetery contracts,
- Enter cash and receipts into software program,
- Petty cash reconciliation,
- Maintain cemetery and mortuary daily schedules,
- File and maintain customer information,
- Daily reconciliation of payments and deposits,
- Strong computer skills and be able to operate a multi-line phone system, copier/scanner, debit/credit machine,
- Execute cemetery transfers,
- Maintain vendor relationships,
- Maintain and order supplies as needed,
- Process invoices as needed,
- Be sure office and building are well organized and presentable to the public,
- Occasional errands to pick up supplies and/or make change at a bank; and,
- Any other duties as directed by management.
