Bishop Garriga Middle Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will report to the school Principal and is responsible for performing general office functions and some bookkeeping. The list of duties below reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the primary functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepares correspondence for the Principal
- Handles incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintains student files, family accounts, and other records as required by the Principal
- Prepares folders for new student applicants
- Operates general office equipment including copier, computer, laminator, square payment device, and security cameras
- Performs receptionist duties including answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and answering general questions pertaining to the school
- Maintains confidentiality on all financial matters
- Appropriately utilize the school accounting systems and Ren Web
- Create and advertise school events and activities on school social media pages and website
- Maintains office supply inventory
- Attends in-services, workshops, and other school/parish events as instructed by the Principal
- Performs other office duties as instructed by the Principal including, but not restricted to, Business Office functions
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications For The Position Include
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience in general office setting including skills in typing, filing, and bookkeeping
- Must have effective skills in technology
- Bilingual preferred
- Must submit to employment required screenings including a criminal history background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening
- Certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources
- Position requires adherence to Diocesan policies and procedures.
