Position Description
The Office of Catholic Schools in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi is seeking a part-time Student Success Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, the coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating and overseeing services to support students with special academic, emotional, and physical needs creating a pathway for students to thrive and succeed.
With attention to both students with special needs and students requiring accelerated and advanced learning, the Student Success Coordinator will assess and diagnose student needs, and will collaboratively develop Individual Educational Plans or Behavioral Plans while documenting student progress. The Student Success Coordinator provides support for classroom teachers, observes student-teacher interaction, studies student data, develops and models appropriate interventions, and presents professional development sessions for teachers and school leaders.
The functions and responsibilities of this position are conducted in the assigned office space in the Chancery and on site in each Catholic school within the Diocese of Corpus Christi. The schedule for this part-time position will not exceed 29 hours per week.

In order to fulfill his mission, the Diocesan Bishop employs suitable, chosen collaborators, who are clerics, religious, and lay people. He shares with them the apostolic mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them.
Each position employed in the Diocese of Corpus Christi helps to extend the ministry of the Diocesan Bishop in particular ways as outlined in the job duties and responsibilities. Therefore, this position is closely connected to and assists the Diocesan Bishop in the performance of his ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the church.
Responsibilities:
- As an integral part of the ministry for the Church, this position will support and uphold the philosophy of the Catholic ministry and the mission of the Diocese of Corpus Christi in both professional and personal life
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Continually grow in the ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, trainings sessions, and reflection activities as directed
- Coordinates services to students with special academic, emotional and physical needs
- Coordinates services and programs for accelerated leaners
- Conducts assessments and prepares programs for student success while tracking student progress
- Develops and conducts professional development programs for school leaders and teachers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the Student Success Coordinator must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and experience in the field of teaching and serving in Special Education Programs.

Additional Requirements:
- Submit to employment required screening, including criminal history background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check
- Complete certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources
- Position requires adherence to all diocesan policies and procedures
- Valid Texas driver’s license
