The Diocese of Belleville is seeking a part-time (20-hours per week) Director of Charities and Works of Mercy. Under the direction of the bishop, this role is responsible for design, implementation, and oversight of all Catholic social services and social justice programs, including Prison Ministry for the 28 counties in the Diocese of Belleville. This position requires leadership and assistance to Catholic Urban Programs, Daystar, Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Ministry to Sick & Aged, and St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Qualifications include 3 -5 years’ experience providing oversight and leadership of charitable organizations, preferably with a background in social work. Practicing Catholic required, with thorough knowledge and understanding of Catholic teachings, practices, and organizational structure.
