Position Summary
The Email Marketing Specialist is a dynamic self-starter focused on supporting the implementation of an apostolate-wide email strategy at the Augustine Institute. Responsibilities include building email content that ensures a consistent and coordinated tone while adhering to all brand and style guides. This individual will assist in coordinating brand-level and product campaigns across the enterprise and all its channels, working in an agile system to generate unique and compelling content appropriate to each of our brands.
In addition to content management and development, this individual will work closely with other members of the digital marketing and marketing operations teams to ensure we achieve maximum reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI. Experience with email marketing is a must. In collaboration with the digital marketing team, you will help grow our initiatives for the Augustine Institute, FORMED, Amen, Word of Life, Catholic Market, and the Graduate School of Theology. By reaching Catholics with the right message at the right time in their faith journey, you will help them grow in their faith as they continue to engage with the Augustine Institute.

Email Marketing Strategy: Manage all email communications that connect with customers by planning, developing, and implementing the Augustine Institute's email marketing strategy.
Process Refinement: Refine email management processes to ensure a seamless and coordinated rollout across all product lines, enhancing efficiency and consistency.
Design and Brand Alignment: Implement email design best practices to maintain brand consistency, captivate customers, and maximize conversions through visually compelling and effective messaging.
Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest trends in email marketing to ensure strategies align with customer expectations and industry standards.
Audience Segmentation: Develop a deep understanding of Augustine Institute's product lines and customer contacts to ensure accurate segmentation and personalized messaging at the right time.
Compliance and Privacy: Ensure that all email marketing activities adhere to best practices, GDPR, and customer privacy laws, safeguarding customer trust and data security.
Behavior Tracking and Reporting: Set up email marketing activities to track user behavior and conversions, providing data-driven insights to inform future campaigns.
List and Contact Management: Oversee and manage email segments within the customer contact base, ensuring alignment with buyer journeys and product pipelines while maintaining list hygiene and an excellent sender score.
Performance Analysis: Analyze campaign performance, prepare detailed reports, and implement continuous improvements to enhance email marketing effectiveness.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with marketing team members and organizational stakeholders to align email strategies with broader marketing goals.
Deliverability Maintenance: Maintain robust processes for list and contact hygiene to ensure high deliverability rates and protect sender reputation.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications, or equivalent experience required.
At least 2 years of professional experience in an email marketing role.
Email Marketing Expertise:
Demonstrated ability to craft compelling email campaigns that drive engagement and conversions.
Familiarity with audience segmentation, A/B testing, and personalization techniques.
Strong knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Active Campaign, Marketo, Customer.io).
Proficiency in email marketing automation technology and integration with CRM systems.
Experience with HubSpot, including HubSpot Email Training and Certifications (preferred).
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with HTML for email design and knowledge of email design best practices.
Familiarity with analytical and database tools for campaign performance tracking and reporting.
Proficiency in advanced MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong ability to analyze email performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversions).
Proven ability to derive actionable insights and optimize campaigns based on data.
Knowledge of email compliance regulations such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other privacy laws.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Creative and Strategic Thinking:
Ability to think creatively and strategically to identify and resolve challenges effectively.
Thorough understanding of email best practices and market trends.
Communication and Collaboration:
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience in project management platforms like ClickUp, Monday.com, or Asana is a plus.
Experience in Agile Marketing is a plus.
Communication and Detail Orientation:
Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills for collaboration in a team environment.
Exceptional attention to detail in marketing strategy, technology, copy, and design.
