We are seeking a versatile, part-time chemistry teacher whose love of science is matched by their love of teaching and forming high school students in the Catholic faith. Teachers are expected to demonstrate competency and strength in the lab sciences and have comfortability with the full range of high school laboratory equipment. Teacher should possess teaching ability, content excellence, and classroom management and mentorship skills. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates ideally have previous teaching experience, demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field by the time of employment. Educational credits/licensure are ideal but not required, though
candidates may need to work toward educational credits upon employment. Position offers a competitive salary and benefits and begins as soon as possible.
This position has the possibility of becoming a full-time position for the upcoming school year based on the candidate and teaching needs. Full time work requires the capacity to take on extra-curricular duties, clubs, mentorship in the House System (the House system is designed to promote character and virtue and to help students grow in holiness), and other duties as assigned. Full time faculty members are required to attend daily Mass with the entire student body and participate in spiritual retreats or other school activities.
