The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
The Director of Evangelization develops and implements strategies to inspire and engage parishioners and the broader community in living and sharing the Catholic faith. This role oversees parish evangelization efforts, coordinates outreach, fosters spiritual growth.
- Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive evangelization strategy that aligns with the parish’s mission goals of the archdiocese
- Collaborate with parish leadership to identify key areas for evangelization
- Integrate evangelization efforts into liturgy, sacramental preparation, parish life
- Faith Formation and Discipleship
- Organize and oversee adult faith formation programs, Bible studies, and small faith-sharing groups to deepen the spiritual lives of parishioners
- Provide resources for parishioners to grow as missionary disciples, encouraging participation in Church life
- Recruit, train, support volunteers for evangelization initiatives
- Outreach and Community Engagement
- Develop initiatives to reach inactive Catholics, non-Catholics, and those on periphery of the Church; invite them into deeper relationship with Jesus Christ
- Foster relationships with local community organizations, other Christian denominations to partner on evangelization and service projects
- Collaborate with Communication Specialist on evangelization initiatives
- Expertise in Catholic theology and teachings and evangelization principles
- Bachelor’s degree: Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Evangelization
- Five years plus experience in evangelization, catechesis
