Since 1971, Catholic Charities’ Crozier House has provided a structured and effective residential substance abuse treatment program for males, aged 18 years and older. Our program is designed for men who are ready to commit themselves to a daily program of sobriety, to accept the discipline of a structured community, and to cooperate with other residents and staff while preparing themselves towards sober housing or independent living. We are seeking a Medication Management Specialist to join our team!
Primary Responsibility: The Medication Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing resident and patient medications and facilitating the ability of the residents to continue their prescribed medications across the continuum of care and transitions in providers.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Successfully completing the formal Medication Management Specialist Training through BSAS
- CPR-First Aid Certified and Overdose Prevention/Narcan training capable.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the human services field with a special knowledge of substance abuse and the role of a residential community model.
- Possess a base of knowledge from introductory courses in substance abuse and drug dependencies, as well as an understanding of working with individuals within a marginal community.
- A solid foundation in sobriety and must be active in a recovery program outside of the work environment.
Skills/Abilities:
- Bi-lingual in Spanish/English is preferred.
- Ability to read, write objective Shift/Incident reports, and speak English.
- Possess a high level of professionalism, sensitivity, and self-awareness when communicating with program residents, co-workers, and leadership.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance preferred
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or LADC certification strongly suggested at time of hire or in process of seeking such certification (s)/higher education within one year of hire date preferred.
