POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for managing the school’s admissions process from recruitment to enrollment, overseeing all admission events, and working collaboratively with other stakeholders to promote the school and attract new families.
The Associate Director of Admissions reports to the Senior Director of Strategy, Talent and Enrollment.
The Associate Director of Admissions is expected to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends, in order to accommodate the various needs of the Office of Admissions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Recruitment, Outreach and Family Engagement
Develop strong partnerships and cultivate relationships with partner schools, community organizations, churches, businesses and other entities to promote the school’s mission and programs and build a pipeline of prospective students.
Attend and represent the school at fairs, community events, churches and other opportunities to promote Cristo Rey’s mission and programs and reach a broader audience of potential families.
Serve as an ambassador for Cristo Rey and work to elevate the school’s reputation within the broader community.
Develop and implement a dynamic and data-driven recruitment plan that aligns with the school’s mission and enrollment goals.
Organize and execute admissions events such as open houses, campus tours, information nights and visit days to engage prospective students and families.
Collaborate with the marketing/communications team to develop promotional materials, social media campaigns, and content that supports recruitment efforts and aligns with the admissions marketing strategy and school-wide branding.
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective families, guiding them through the application process, building relationships, providing information and addressing any concerns or questions.
Provide excellent customer service to prospective families during the admissions experience and contribute to generating an institutional culture of care, professionalism and superb customer service.
Admissions and Enrollment
Manage the entire admissions and enrollment process, including inquiry management, application submissions, interviews, financial review, selection, enrollment and onboarding.
With the support of the Admissions Coordinator, manage the daily operations of the admissions office including purchasing materials, managing the budget, maintaining the database, files and shared Google Drive, updating the website, and managing all digital and print communications.
Conduct interviews and assess students and families to determine their alignment with the school’s mission and values.
Ensure adherence to Cristo Rey Network standards and enrollment guidelines.
Data and Reporting
Track and analyze key recruitment and enrollment metrics, trends, class profile and data, and use this data to generate and inform internal and external reports; use data to inform decision-making.
Leadership and Management
Collaborate as needed with the Principal, academic staff and other employees.
Recruit, train and develop relationships with current parent admissions ambassadors.
Manage the student ambassador program in collaboration with the Admissions Coordinator and advancement team.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in school-wide supervision of students, as requested.
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Strategy, Talent and Enrollment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree with relevant major (relevant work experience may be substituted for a relevant major)
Experience: 3-7 years of experience in admissions, recruiting, sales, marketing, business, education, program management, community outreach or a related role. (Previous experience in education or local non-profit or community outreach, particularly in urban, Catholic, or independent schools, is a plus.)
Mission Alignment: Strong commitment to the mission of the Cristo Rey Network, which focuses on providing quality education to underserved communities.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) required: Ability to read, write and verbally communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.
Desired Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and public speaking skills. Demonstrated experience in project and/or event management Proficient in data collection, analysis and experience with CRM or admissions software (or an aptitude and desire to quickly gain proficiency in these skills) Ability to work with diverse populations and engage families from a variety of backgrounds.
Other: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally. Successful clearance of a background check, CANRA and any other state and federal requirements

Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000
