Position Summary:
The Maintenance Worker will maintain a safe, clean and attractive environment for Cristo Rey employees and students. The position will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintaining the interior and exterior of the property, typically focused such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, classroom, bathrooms, office, parking areas.
Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks as assigned using a work order system.
Serve as a trades expert and apprentice junior facilities workers on methods of repairs.
Work on and around potentially dangerous equipment/machinery, in potentially dangerous environments, handling hazardous materials, some exposure to high noise levels.
Maintain all building, recreational and tenant equipment, as assigned.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities (e.g. PM Checklists).
Support special events and activities such as setting up the gym, etc..
Coordinate building operations activities around school schedules.
Adhere to company and Cal-OSHA safety guidelines and attend regular safety meetings.
Manage Vendors by partnering and effective communication to drive results and resolve issues.
Responsible for ensuring the safe and secure closure of campus facilities at the end of each workday. Duties include closing doors and windows, conducting thorough security walk-throughs, and verifying that all systems are properly shut down.
Work schedule is Monday – Friday 2 pm – 6pm (and some weekends may be required).
Completes all other projects or requests as directed.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least two years of experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings.
Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants will meet or exceed the following requirements:
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish.
Preference for previous experience working in schools.
Proficiency using some technology.
Salary and Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $22 – $26 per hour
