Job Title: Senior Grant Accountant

Overview:
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc. provides services to people of all races, backgrounds and beliefs. We offer a variety of housing and social service programs to individuals, families and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida. The Senior Grant Accountant will be responsible for all facets of the fiscal and administrative functions of all organization's grants and contracts and for managing the Grants Accounting team. This position will work closely with the Grants Administrator, Regional Directors, Program Directors, COO, and CEO in order to develop, execute and maintain contractual obligations of all Federal, State, County, and Foundation grants.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the process for accurately preparing and billing invoices and ensure appropriate back-up documentation is compiled to maintain compliance with all grant contracts.
- Project grant accounting data to ensure budget expense allocations are not exceeded and review monthly with Grants Accounting team.
- Maintain compliance with grant contract agreements in conjunction with Grants Administrator, while working to improve, systems, processes and protocols of organizations grant accounting functions.
- Review prepared monthly, and quarterly reports including Financial Status reports necessary for reimbursement of program expenditures before they are submitted to Grantors.
- Assist in preparation of grant applications and budget planning with Grant Administrator.
- Collaborate with Grant Administrators, Regional Directors, and Program Directors for grant awards, negotiations, execution and monitoring of grant programs.
- Support the Grants Accounting team and participate in outside site visits, audits, and grant monitoring.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
- Full cycle grant experience or commensurate Accounting Management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Corporate accounting, payroll and General Ledger experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
