Overview
Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice, Inc. (CCDOV) provides services to people of all races, backgrounds, and beliefs. We offer a variety of housing and social service programs to individuals, families, and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida.
The Grants Director works directly with the COO to develop programs addressing emerging needs within CCDOV's strategic purview. This position will prepare and submit public and foundation grant applications, provide guidance for implementing new programs, and manage and maintain all grant-related contracts and documents.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with COO to support short, mid-term, and long-term strategies including new initiatives
- Monitor and track grant funding opportunities in SW Florida region related to key strategic priorities.
- Manager and mentor grant staff.
- Develop and submit federal, state, local and foundation grant applications
- Support new program implementation and provide ongoing support for identifying and hiring personnel
- Make strategic recommendations to COO informed by thorough knowledge of funding landscape and pipeline, strong ties with funders, and overall capacity of programs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, English, Journalism, Communications, Social Work, or another relevant field OR Combination of a bachelor's degree with substantial experience will be considered
- Possess highly developed written, organizational, and communication skills.
- 3-5 years of grant writing experience with a proven history of attaining public and foundation grant funding. Highly developed budgeting skills
- - need to be able to develop program budgets from the ground up. Proficiency in MS suite and online funding platforms
