Stewardship Coordinator Reports to: Director of Development Status: Full Time Job Summary: The Stewardship Coordinator is pivotal in designing, implementing, and coordinating a robust donor relations and stewardship system. This role focuses on fostering meaningful interactions and recognition of donors across all levels, ensuring sustained, positive relations between the school and its supporters. Working closely with the Director of Development and VP of Institutional Advancement, the Coordinator strategizes effective stewardship approaches and maintains active engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Stewardship: Assist Director of Development and members of the Development team in establishing a strategic process for acknowledgment, recognition, ongoing communications and continued cultivation of donors to enhance their relationship with the school and increase the likelihood of continued support.
Stewardship efforts will include but are not limited to:
Endowment/Scholarship Program: • Manage database information for endowed scholarships, ensuring consistent stewardship and effective communication • Develop content and maintain an endowment platform on the St. Ed’s website that offers clear and comprehensive information about the school’s endowment funds, their impact, and how donors can contribute • Produce financial reports tailored to donors, highlighting the impact of their endowments • Coordinate student involvement in donor relations activities through holiday cards, thank-you notes, and personal meetings • Assist with the Annual Scholarship Luncheon • Utilize Development databases to establish processes, procedures, and generate reports to support Development, Finance, and Admission Development Initiatives: • Provide support to the President and Development team in preparation for donor visits, ensuring seamless execution and impactful engagement • Assist in stewardship efforts of annual donors, Holy Cross Society members, Donoghue Legacy Society and targeted groups such as first-time donors and reunion classes • Organize reunion year memorabilia for the hallway display cases • Organize and assist with student participation in key Development events such as the annual Scholarship Luncheon, Reunion Weekend, Memorial Mass, Wings, etc.
General Responsibilities: • Coordinate hospitality outreach within the community for significant life events (birth, marriage, death) as needed • Collaborate with the Development team on correspondence, student engagement initiatives, program creation, and donor awards • Provide administrative support for Development initiatives/committees (Campaign, Wings Auction, Alumni Assoc.) • Attend and assist Development events, as necessary • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2 years’ of experience in fundraising or an equivalent client-focused environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Raiser’s Edge experience preferred • Attention to detail: thoroughness and accuracy in completing tasks and reviewing work • Goal-oriented work processes: strong focus on outcomes that contribute to team success • Communication: clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written • Teamwork: ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute positively to team dynamics • Problem-solving: strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and find practical solutions • Adaptability: flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing situations and priorities • Time management: efficiently prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines • Interpersonal skills: strong ability to build relationships and rapport with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders • Ability to work evening and weekend hours, as necessary
