Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fourth Grade Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire and motivate students in both the faith life and academics. The candidate will create a positive and engaging classroom environment, and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the curriculum standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the unique Catholic mission of the school
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state standards and are tailored to the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing timely feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance the educational experience.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
- Manage classroom behavior and promote a culture of kindness, respect and responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Desired candidate is a practicing Catholic with an active faith life
- Bachelor’s degree in Education in elementary education
- Valid teaching certification for the state of MI preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning
