St. Thomas Aquinas Parish / St. John Student Center is looking for a Development Administrator. Candidates must have a love for Jesus, a desire to connect Catholic college alumni with the student parish/student center, and excellent organizational, communication and technology skills. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and record all donations to the Parish, Parish School, and Student Center into the database.
- Reconcile monthly transactions with Parish Accountant/Director of Finance to ensure accuracy.
- Generate donor acknowledgement letters for monetary and in-kind donations within a timely manner.
- Review donation and constituent information on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and identify new, at-risk, and major donors.
- Work with the Director of Advancement to implement a plan for individual gifts, campaigns, and offertory giving.
- Work in conjunction with the Director of Advancement and Campus Minister to identify and maintain Catholic Spartan alumni records in the database.
- Help Coordinate alumni newsletter and correspondences to increase engagement and stewardship.
- Work with Campus Minister to plan annual fundraising event to solicit donations and pledges for Campus Ministry programs.
- Prepare reports as needed for the Director of Advancement, Pastor, other staff, and Parish Finance Council.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Qualifications: Minimum of Associate Degree required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 2-3 years of administrative experience, especially with database management. Experience with CRM databases, highly desirable. Candidates must be highly organized and able to work with multiple deadlines. Must have good communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Word and Google Suite.
Physical Demands: While performing duties, employee has to sit for long periods of time, use hands in repetitive motion tasks, and answer telephone calls. The position also requires some standing, stooping, and bending while filing.
