Notre Dame Preparatory School is seeking an elementary classroom teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The purpose of the elementary classroom teacher is to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
Essential Functions:
- Enthusiastically practice and promote the Marist Mission of NDP.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Develop lesson plans keeping in mind the school mission and IB methodology.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning.
- Prepare the classroom for class activities.
- Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.
- Provide appropriate feedback on work.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student’s progress and development.
- Maintain accurate attendance records using Blackbaud.
- Maintain discipline as prescribed by NDP.
- Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
- Participate in school liturgies, department meetings and school events as required.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Participate in Parent/Teacher conferences as required.
- Attend Professional Development courses, webinars and meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
