Major Giving Officer
Location: Remote position based in the Denver Metropolitan Area with targeted travel across the United States
Position Type: Full-Time: Approximately 40 hours per week (Flexible hours, including nights and weekends)

Role Overview:
Bella Health and Wellness is seeking a passionate and experienced fundraiser for the role of Major Giving Officer to help expand our donor base and drive our mission forward. Reporting to the Director of Mission Advancement, this role is instrumental in building and fostering relationships with major donors, securing significant gifts, and ensuring long-term financial support for Bella's mission. A part of this role will be not just securing the funding for Bella's mission to sustain and grow, but to cultivate our donors so that they feel known, seen, loved, and valued. When meeting with donors, you will foster an environment aligned with Bella's values and mission.
Work Environment:
This role requires flexibility in working hours and will include evening or weekend commitments based on donor meeting schedules and event attendance. The Major Giving Officer will work closely with the Director of Mission Advancement who serves on senior leadership and other Bella staff to ensure funding is secured for Bella's mission and initiatives on a national level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a strategic plan for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors to support Bella's mission. This includes some existing donors in our database, but this role primarily focuses on expanding our database with new donors.
• Build meaningful relationships with and pray for prospective and current donors, focusing on cultivating gifts of $5,000 or more.
• Research donor interests, philanthropic priorities, and capacity to tailor engagement strategies.
• Work collaboratively with Bella's leadership and team to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities.
• Plan and participate in donor meetings, events, and other cultivation activities.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions using the organization's donor database.
• Represent Bella Health and Wellness with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a deep understanding of our mission and services.
• Other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
• Passion for Bella's Mission: A deep appreciation for Bella's life-affirming values and a commitment to advancing its goals.
• Fundraising Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of securing major gifts and donor moves management.
• Self-Starter: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and achieve results without micromanagement.
• Strong Communication Skills: Professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and connect with diverse audiences. Ability to handwrite notes, email, write proposals, and make phone calls to donors.
• Relationship Builder: Skilled at cultivating relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community partners. Confidence to walk into a room where you know nobody and make new connections.
• Flexibility to Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with donors and attend events (up to 50% travel).
• Software Experience: Familiarity with donor management software Givingfuel/Webconnex and Virtuous CRM tools is a plus.
• Denver Metro Based: Residence in the Denver metro area is required to facilitate local donor engagement and engage with the Bella team and clinic.
