Position Summary
The Advancement Communications Manager is part of the Augustine Institute's Advancement team and bridges the strategic goals of the Institute with the organization's most generous and engaged donors and prospective donors.
In this role, you will oversee the strategy and execution of mass appeals to existing and prospective donors, including members of the Mission Circle, the Augustine Institute's recurring giving society. Additionally, you will oversee the development and creation of bespoke proposals and stewardship materials for larger donors.
In this role, you will work intimately with the Augustine Institute's in-house marketing team and external marketing partners to create compelling, high-quality cases for ongoing support of the Institute. You will also work closely with members of the Advancement team, including the Executive Director of Mission Advancement and Mission Advancement Officers, to tailor solicitations that resonate with individual donors.
The Advancement Communications Manager is expected to:
Develop an annual appeal strategy that takes into consideration Advancement revenue goals, production timelines, collateral development, audience analysis, and post-gift stewardship.
Effectively represent and articulate the impact of the Augustine Institute, presenting a compelling case for support.
Oversee the strategy for the Mission Circle, the Augustine Institute's recurring giving society. In conjunction with the Mission Circle Coordinator, develop strategies to grow the society and retain existing donors.
Manage the Mission Circle Coordinator through annual goal-setting, weekly one-on-ones, and supporting strategic planning efforts.
Support the major gifts team with the development of proposals and stewardship materials that demonstrate the impact of a donor's giving.
Lead the development of an annual impact report that will be shared with all donors.
Collaborate with the Augustine Institute Studios and Marketing teams to develop compelling videos that showcase the depth and breadth of the Institute's work.
Leverage the Classy platform as the primary online giving tool to maximize online giving.
Collaborate with the Advancement Analyst to ensure all appeal giving is accurately and promptly reported in Salesforce, and identify ways to leverage the platform to optimize the appeal experience.
Support the broader Advancement team on special projects or efforts that contribute to the Augustine Institute's larger regional and national goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field or equivalent experience.
Solid and comprehensive knowledge and consistent practice of the Catholic faith.
At least three years of experience in non-profit fundraising and donor relations.
Capable of using Microsoft Office Suite, and able to quickly assimilate to proprietary and new technology.
Proficient in InDesign and the development of marketing collateral.
A working knowledge of Salesforce is preferred.
