Position Summary
We are currently seeking one full-time 4-Year-Old First Steps Kindergarten (4K) Teacher
for the 2025-26 school year to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
that encourages their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development while
fostering respect and love for Christ. The Teacher plans and implements a
developmentally appropriate curriculum for enrolled children to prepare students for
five-year-old kindergarten.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
Prior teaching experience and teaching certification is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of the Catholic faith is appreciated.
Experience with diverse populations is recommended.
Job Responsibilities
• Create and implement weekly lesson plans in accordance to the First Steps 4K
approved curriculum and ensure lesson plans are developmentally appropriate
and reflect observations and assessments of individual children and goals.
• Engage constructively with individual children during activities and routines
• Adhere to the First Steps 4K and school guidelines
• Attend all required First Steps and Department of Social Services trainings and
obtain required continuing education hours
• Demonstrate effective listening, oral and written communication skills
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by displaying professional behavior to
ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students, coworkers, parents,
supervisors and the public
