Position Summary: The Memorial Designer will create sketches from existing designs and present to sales, clients and customers for final approval. Then, will generate the stencil to produce the finished product.
Compensation Data: Non-exempt, hourly: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
Travel: Occasionally travel to different Catholic Cemeteries Association locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sketches and obtain approval of final sketch from current clients, customers and or sales.
- Prepare stencils for the finished product.
- Prepare inscription fonts for crypts and niche front.
- Design and fabricate granite memorials.
- Communicate with sales on ideas, designs and specifications of order or sale.
- Proficient in using Gerber Design Software.
- Proficient in using Auto CAD.
- Adhere to cemetery regulations and guidelines to comply with cemetery rules and regulations.
What you will need to succeed:
Education & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 – 5 years of proven experience with Auto CAD
- 3 – 5 years of experience using Gerber Design software
- Experienced with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
Competencies:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to meet and or exceed deadlines with precise accuracy
- Ability to adapt and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced changing environment
- Exceptionally detail oriented
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to adapt to fast paced design changes
- Ability to work Saturday’s during busy season as needed
- Proficient in impact etching and CAD
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
Work Environment:
- Hours: 7:15 am – 4:30 pm (Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturday during busy season)
