The Pregnancy Services Rural Outreach Coordinator plays a pivotal role in extending the reach of Catholic Charities of East Tennessee's pregnancy services into rural communities throughout East Tennessee. The primary responsibility will be to develop and implement outreach programs tailored to meet the unique needs of rural populations, ensuring that expectant mothers and families in these areas have access to essential support, resources, and education regarding pregnancy. This position reports to the Pregnancy Services Program Leader and has no supervisory responsibilities.
Hourly Rate: $19.00
Schedule: M - F | 35 hours

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain structured schedule of service provision guided by community feedback
• Lead group and individual educational lessons
• Conduct individual and family assessments
• Distribute client assistance appropriately based on needs and grant requirements
• Develop awareness of local, state, and federal resources available to client base
• Solicit on-going feedback from community stakeholders, clients, and volunteers
• Research and assess communities to identify most needed expansion efforts
• Establish and maintain partnerships with local community organizations, healthcare providers, religious institutions, schools, and other relevant stakeholders in rural areas
• Organize community events, workshops, and information sessions to raise awareness about pregnancy services and available resources
• Develop a sustainable model of services utilizing the infrastructure of the Catholic Church in partnership with the community
• Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in services and resources within rural communities
• Design and implement outreach strategies to address identified needs
• Provide information and referrals to individuals and families regarding support services
• Identify important issues affecting the community
• Create outreach materials for events and meetings
• Recruit, train, and manager volunteers in multiple locations
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, program participation, and client interactions
• Compile data and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts
Job Requirements:
• Must be able to move objects weighing up to 25 lbs
• Must pass all required screenings
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel within rural communities
• Must maintain any training and certification requirements
• Must support the teachings of the Catholic Church and embody our organization's mission and culture through behavior and daily interactions
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
• Qualified candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish (both oral and written), with excellent interpretation and translation skills
• Experience working in community outreach, healthcare, or social services, particularly in rural or underserved areas
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse populations and build collaborative relationships
• Cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient with MicroSoft Office Suite and Canva
