Job Purpose:
The Ultrasound Nurse Mobile Clinic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, developing, staffing, managing, supervision and community engagement, community and public relations and stakeholder development for Mobile Ultrasound Services. The Clinic Coordinator facilitates and coordinates best practices that maintain the highest level of safety, security, and quality care for all clients. The Nurse will market and grow Catholic Charities of East Tennessee (CCETN) Ultrasound Services across East Tennessee. This job has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Pregnancy Services Program Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization including adhering to Catholic Social Teaching
• Reinforce the humanity of the unborn child with the patient
• Coordinate the daily operations of the mobile ultrasound van, ensuring timely arrival, set-up, and efficient service delivery at various locations across East Tennessee
• Ensure that all necessary medical supplies, equipment, and documents are available and properly stored for use in the mobile unit
• Provide direct patient care in a mobile setting, including performing limited obstetric ultrasounds
• Develop and manage to an annual budget and operating plan to support the program
• Develop and manage processes to ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the program and comply with all laws and professional standards
• Maintains a working knowledge of nursing methods, principles, and practices
• Provide a safe environment for staff, clients, and volunteers and report any safety concerns to the Director of Programs
• Recruit, hire and retain program volunteers
• Supervise volunteers that support ultrasound services
• Monitor and track vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with all state regulations for mobile medical clinics
• Maintain effective program communication to all stakeholders
• Maintain grant compliance in collaboration with development department
• Ensure that the program operates within the approved budget
• Provide required information to have invoices generated accurately and timely
• Ensure all program activities meet all Ultrasound program financial goals
• Report to the Pregnancy Services Program Leader and recommend changes to enhance the program
• Build relationships with community stakeholders to advance the mission and fundraising goals of the program
• Collaborate with the Development staff to create marketing and communication materials that promote the program
• Ensure donor and stakeholder development in all geographic areas
• Provide necessary outreach for community support and donor development
• Collaborate with development on all communication, fundraising events and activities on all platforms of communication including live events and activities
• Attends medical conferences that offer professional training and information pertinent to the program
Job Requirements:
• Must be able to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand for long periods, has good eyesight or corrected vision, steady hands, and good bedside manner
• Must hold a valid driver license
• Must be flexible and able to work occasional alternate shifts including weekends, weekdays, and holidays
• Must be willing to travel if required
• Must maintain any training and certification requirements
• Must support the teachings of the Catholic Church and embody the organization's mission and culture through behavior and daily interactions
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required
Job Qualifications:
• Holds a current license in good standing with the State Nursing/Medical Board (or a current registry and OB credential if an RDMS)
• Expresses desire to reach at-risk patients considering abortion
• Believes in the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception through natural death
• Skilled with current technology and able to learn new skills quickly
• Has the capacity to obtain education, training, and documentation of competency to perform a limited obstetric ultrasound
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and mobile medical unit regulations is an asset
• Must possess excellent organizational and logistical skills to coordinate mobile clinic visits effectively
• Comfortable with community outreach and public engagement in diverse communities
• Strong ability to think and act independently
