Position Summary:
The Dining Room Assistant is responsible to setup and take down serving area during meals as well as for some food preparation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Setup and take down food to the specifications defined by the Executive Chef. Additionally, the Dining Room Assistant shall:
- Prepare “specials” if meal cannot be eaten by someone.
- Prepare trays for those Sisters who may need to eat in their rooms.
- Clean work area (including dining room steam table, sink, dishwasher,
- Countertops) after each meal.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floor daily.
- Perform week cleaning assignments in the dining room, kitchen and pantry.
- Launder kitchen towels on a regular basis.
- Advise Executive Chef of any needed repairs, equipment or supplies.
- Complete weekly pantry and refrigerator inventory.
- Any other duties as assigned by Executive Chef.

Job Specifications:
- Years of Experience: At least 5 years within industry.
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test.
- Able to work nights weekend and some holidays.
- Experience with food preparation.
- Experience with kitchen maintenance and cleaning
- Experience maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
- Experience with menu planning.
- Must work well and integrate seamlessly into a team.
