Job Details:
- Understands and respects individual cultural and religious diversities when interacting with co-workers, supervisors, patients, families and the general public.
- Creates and maintains an atmosphere of courtesy and respect towards staff and the public.
- Conducts bedside patient rounds
- Visits patients and families at bedside
- Promptly and respectively responds to patients and their families.
- Ensures timely and appropriate response to complaints as per regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Maintains ongoing open communication with patients and/or family members regarding the status of a complaint.
- Consults the appropriate staff as part of the resolution process to ascertain and assure corrective measures.
- Documents all complaints, requests and compliments into computerized system.
- Maintains daily activity and communications log.
- Understands and adheres to the Patient’s Bill of Rights.
- As needed educates staff on The Patient’s Bill of Rights.
- Prepares and analyzes patient complaint data.
- As needed, presents patient complaint data to hospital-wide committees.
- Proactively identifies potential areas of concerns and participates in effective action planning processes.
- Attends hospital and system meetings as required.
- Shares information obtained from meetings/councils with colleagues in a structured and consistent manner.
- Maintains professional development utilizing internal and external resources when needed.
- Maintains a positive and supportive attitude toward the mission and goals of Catholic Health.
- Maintains a consistent pattern of attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and demonstrates flexibility within the assigned schedule.
- Adheres to hospital/department dress code. Arrives to work appropriately dressed, well-groomed and neat. Demonstrates good personal habits.
- Conforms to all policies of Catholic Health Services and is ethical in conducting business.
- Conforms to policies governing patient abuse, patient rights, and confidentiality of information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs unrelated duties as requested during emergencies.
- Maintains and adheres to Catholic Health HIPAA policies.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1 or more years of customer service experience preferred.
- Skills, Knowledge or Abilities: Self-motivated individual, able to work independently and within a team. Strong conflict resolution and writing skills. Effective and efficient communicator with ability to provide detailed documentation.
Posted Salary Range: USD $71,000.00 - USD $73,000.00 /Yr. :
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
