Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
This position will serve as Human Resources support for the lay staff at the Vicariate level and will serve as a resource for parishes and schools of the Archdiocese. The incumbent will support the day-to-day recruiting and onboarding processes including job posting and recruitment activities, screening, interviewing, in-processing, and delivery of new hire orientation. They will also be responsible for data transactions in the HRIS Recruiting and Onboarding systems for all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Ensuring data integrity and accuracy, compliance with HR policies / procedures and HR system requirements is key in this role. They will assist in job description preparation, leave of absence administration, and other HR functions.
- Must have a college degree, Bachelors, or Associate and three years prior experience in Human Resources working with employment, compensation, or benefits.
- Must be willing to actively participate in training and become proficient in the use of the new HRIS system SAP/SuccessFactors, and adhere to the associated business rules, processes and workflows established as part of that system.

- Must be able to use a computer and be knowledgeable in Microsoft applications including Work, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and possess intermediate internet skills.

- Must be able to develop and maintain technical knowledge of Human Resources practices and regulatory compliance.
- Respond to employee inquiries re Human Resources Policies, compensation, and benefits.
- Reports to the Vicariate Human Resources Manager / Dotted Line to the HRIS Administrator.
- Interfaces with the Vicariate team, pastors, principals, and business managers.
Serve as primary person responsible for managing a full-service recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process for the parishes and schools of the Archdiocese, within their designated Vicariate. Using the newly implemented HRIS system SAP/SuccessFactors, post open positions, place recruitment ads, conduct hiring seminars, receive and disseminate employment applications and resumes, screen candidates for qualifications, conduct screening interviews, answer questions from candidates, and liaise with hiring managers directly about all facets of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for their open positions.
Assist with the ongoing maintenance of job descriptions. Assist pastors, principals, and business managers in the revision and update process for job descriptions as positions may change over time in the parishes and schools. Ensure new and updated job descriptions are appropriately maintained in the new SAP/SuccessFactors HRIS system. Field questions and provide direction on processes and procedures regarding applying for employment opportunities within the Archdiocese using the newly implemented HRIS system SAP/SuccessFactors.
Receive and appropriately process all requests for support with HR/Payroll/Benefits system transactions from designated contacts within the Vicariate they support. Ensure accuracy and timeliness on all responses and data entry transactions. Establish position relationships with the designated contact at each parish and or school within the Vicariate they support. Serve as their dedicated contact – a source of education and information on how to submit their employee transactions for processing. Conduct or administer new hire reference checks, background checks, drug screens, criminal or abuse checks with appropriate government agencies. Conduct New Hire Orientation including onboarding of new hires regarding compensation, benefits, and other administrative tasks.
