Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception seeks a Sustainable Coordinator for the church’s Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry.
Candidates will operate and organize the Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry in accordance with the instruction of the Virginia Department of Health codes and the Food Bank of Southeastern Virgina and the Eastern Shore. This is a full-time non-exempt position with varying working hours Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities And Task (not Limited To)
- Manages the inventory and order food and beverages, equipment, and supplies.
- Oversees food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food
- Inspects supplies, equipment, and work areas.
- Ensures employees comply with health and food safety standards and regulations.
- Investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality or service.
- Schedules staff and volunteer hours and assign duties
- Schedules pickups, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity.
