Overview
The Parish Support and Communications Administrator will be the initial face of parish support to Annunciation and Our Lady of Providence parishioners and all others seeking to interact with the parish. She/He will respond to parish support requests (i.e., registrations, sacraments, funerals, etc.), providing resources / information and/or initiating processes or connections as appropriate.
The role is also responsible for ensuring parishioners receive regular and timely information regarding parish activities and opportunities, while also creating / enhancing external-facing communication platforms such as the parish website(s), Flocknote, FB, Instagram, etc.
Fulfillment of the role's mission will be carried out in collaboration with parish staffs and under the direct supervision of the Pastor.
Duties
- Be the welcoming and engaging first face of the parish to all those calling into or coming into the parish office in need of information or assistance.
- Create content and publish weekly parish bulletin ensuring all parishioners are provided with timely information that will allow them to more fully engage upcoming activities and opportunities.
- Maintain / create content / enhance the parish website(s) to ensure a consistently updated, engaging external presence.
- Leverage other appropriate platforms (i.e., Flocknote, FB, Instagram) as engagement opportunities for both parishioners and those currently outside the parishes.
- Serve as the parish representative to the Archdiocese for the Safe Environment Program, ensuring parish compliance.
- Manage the parish calendar / scheduling of facilities for parish activities and ministries.
- Maintain sacramental records for the parishes.
- Maintain the parish donor databases.
Qualifications
- General knowledge and support of the Catholic church, sacraments, rites, and liturgies.
- Well-developed people skills - comfortable engaging others.
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications).
- Experience in website content creation.
- High degree of discretion.
- Ability and desire to collaborate with others on the staff to deliver the overall mission of the Parish.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
