Job Description
The Hospice Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients and families/caregivers of St. Croix Hospice, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors.
- You will develop an individualized plan of care by participating in the comprehensive assessment to meet identified spiritual needs.
- You will provide direct spiritual care to patients and families/caregivers.
- You will assists the Director of Bereavement in maintaining a bereavement program to meet the needs of families/caregivers for 13 months following the death of a patient to ensure compliance with all state, federal, and CHAP regulatory requirements.
- Traveling throughout the day and some after-hours

- Bachelors degree in biblical studies, theology, or religious studies or equivalent theology degree preferred. Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (MDIV, MTS, ThM or equivalent theological degree) preferred. Demonstrated theological coursework required.
- If no degree, must have 5-7 years of experience in a formal ministerial setting required.
- One or more unit(s) of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred.
- Ability to pass DHS background study.
- If Driving: Valid State Drivers License, automobile in good working order, automobile insurance in accordance with state and organizational requirements, and an acceptable driving record required.
