SUMMARY
Queen of Angels Catholic Cemetery, Inc. (Cemetery) Memorial Advisors will form the primary relationship between the Cemetery and the families and individuals it serves in a manner which is in keeping with Catholic teachings and with a pastoral tone of balancing ministry over business. This position plays an essential role in generating revenue for the Cemetery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and functions, as outlined herein, are intended to be representative of the type of tasks performed within this classification. They are not listed in any order of importance. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Assists individuals and families with making cemetery arrangements through the selection and purchase of Cemetery burial rights, merchandise and services.
- Works with Funeral Directors to facilitate the planning and carrying out of burials.
- Handles situations with individuals and families with compassion and understanding and ensure that all appropriate needs are met or exceeded.
- Prepares, reviews and processes all required documentation and data entry necessary to close sales and for the planning and carrying out of burials through the Cemetery’s automated system.
- Offers memorial options; present, design and record same through the available memorial design tools, materials and the Cemetery’s automated system.
- Generates sales leads through professionally serving at-need and pre-need individuals and families, networking and interacting in the community (parishes, funeral homes and other organizations), record same through the Cemetery’s automated system.
- Contacts sales leads as assigned by Manager for sale of burial rights, merchandise and services.
- Performs day-to-day administrative duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

CATHOLIC FAITH
Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Two to four years of experience with in-person customer sales and services; prior experience in funeral services a plus.
· High level of compassion and integrity
· Above average communications (oral and written), listening and office administration skills
· Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving skills
· Ability to multi-task and set priorities
· Two or more years of experience in the use of mobile computing devices and use of automated business systems.
· Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
· Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage as per policy
WORKING CONDITIONS
The working hours of this position are not limited to an 8-hour day. This person will need to be available in the evening and weekends, as needed. Must be willing to work in conditions of stress and function well under pressure. Use of personal automobile (costs will be reimbursed per policy)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach, grasp, feel, and see up close and from afar. Must be able to use basic office computer hardware and peripherals, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form
