The St. Ann Business Manager is responsible for fulfilling parish administrative needs in Financial Management, Operations, Facilities and other areas. The Business Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the parish, ensuring that the internal and external functions are effective, efficient and sustainable. The position is responsible for ensuring the staff and faculty have what is needed to succeed and fulfill the mission of St. Ann.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all financial planning and reporting for the parish, including Church, School and Young Child Center (YCC)
Prepares annual budget and presents to Finance Council for approval
Oversees preparation and submission of the Annual Report to the archdiocese
Negotiates and administer various contracts and agreements
Presents financial statements, capital investments and other ongoing projects at Finance Council meetings
Ensures proper financial controls and procedures for handling of cash and other financial instruments
Oversees the vision and execution of facilities for current and future needs of the parish, school and YCC
Works with archdiocese, municipal, and other entities to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, codes, etc.
Reports to and advises Pastor and Parish Leadership of various projects and needs
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Parish Accountant
Approves all expenditures and signs all checks.
Manages offertory collection process
Prepares bank deposits
Oversees payroll preparation and benefit administration
Manages and administers insurance coverages
Reviews monthly bank statements and bank reconciliations
Reviews tuition assistance applications and works with Pastor to determine assistance awards
Assists school in tuition delinquency collections
FACILITY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Parish Facilities Manager
Ensures all facilities are properly maintained, functional and safe
Manages facility construction and renovation projects
Negotiates and administers HVAC service contract
Manages other facility-related contracts for fire alarms, exit lighting, sprinkler systems, backflow devices and elevator inspections to comply with state and municipal codes
Participates in development of Facility Master Plan to ensure Parish needs are met.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Parish Director of IT
Works with IT Director to ensure that IT infrastructure is robust and secure
Collaborates with the School Principal, YCC Director and other ministry staff on a variety of projects and issues
Serves as an ex-officio member of the Finance Council and Endowment Committee
Ensures proper retention of records
Attends parish and archdiocesan meetings and training as appropriate
Participates in fundraising and stewardship activities
Interacts positively with volunteers and parishioners
Performs other job-related assignments as directed
QUALIFICATIONS
The Business Manager is a practicing Catholic who upholds Church teachings both in word and by manner of life. They must love the Church and the faith, and must be a team player able to build trust. Knowledge and experience working with business operations, facility management and fundraising/development are preferred. The Business Manager must be personable, inspiring and able to advance the St. Ann mission to all parties. To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent is required to have:
A working knowledge of accounting, budgets, facilities management and personnel processes.
Five years of supervisory experience in a professional office management environment is desirable.
A college degree in an applicable business-related field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Accounting principles and procedures as well as forecasting and reporting abilities
Understanding of Church principles and teachings
Working knowledge of parish and archdiocesan procedures and policies
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Familiarity with QuickBooks Pro
Organization and long-range planning
Experience supervising and managing people
Facilities management and basic construction knowledge
