POSITION TITLE: Construction, Facilities, and Cemetery Project Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Office of Construction and Properties
REPORTS TO: Director of Construction and Properties

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We're seeking a proactive Construction and Facilities Project Coordinator to join our team, based in Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will be a skilled leader with exceptional organizational and communication abilities, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently. Responsibilities include leading project planning, coordinating activities, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and budgets, including the management of cemeteries throughout the Diocese. Additionally, overseeing the operations and maintenance of religious cemeteries for the Diocese, making strategic decisions, and serving as a key liaison with stakeholders. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or extensive construction management experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in construction principles and regulations.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates within professional office, church, education, and residential environments. Travel to various entity locations is required. The employee shall maintain a valid FL driver’s license and comply with all aspects of both the Diocesan Safe Driver and Safe Environment programs.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time exempt position with working hours Monday through Friday. Some overtime, holiday, or weekends may be required from time to time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Utilize computer systems to maintain status of projects.
- Coordinate project activities, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
- Communicate project status and milestones.
- Conduct project reviews to implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with diocesan policies and quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project inquiries.
- Oversee the development and operations of diocesan cemeteries.
- Make short- and long-term decisions on capital improvements and operations.
- Monitor service quality and establish measurement standards.
- Formulate goals, develop budgets, and ensure fiscal accountability.
- Review legal documents with legal consultants.
- Schedule and conduct meetings and educational seminars.
- Serve as a resource on cemetery matters.
- Communicate with various stakeholders.
- Work evenings and weekends as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field, or a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in project management.
- Proven track record of successfully overseeing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional leadership abilities to inspire and guide team members effectively.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability to thrive in dynamic environments.
- Attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in building construction and fundamental design principles.
- Experience in conducting construction inspections to ensure compliance with architectural plans and regulations.
- Experience with facility maintenance.
- Familiarity with construction law, AIA contracts, and proficient in project budget management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including clergy, parish staff, design professionals, legal representatives, contractors, and construction supervisors.
