POSITION TITLE: Admissions Advocate / Specialist
REPORTS TO: Admissions Enrollment Field Consultant
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the enrollment growth efforts for all 31 Catholic schools (26 elementary and 5 high schools) within the Diocese of Grand Rapids. Advocates are responsible for outreach to families of prospective pre-K through 12th grade students including historically underserved populations, such as Latino, immigrant students as well as students from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds. This involves working directly with school personnel and interested students and their families.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
● Initiate personal contact (phone and email), attend events, and extend invitations to
families. Create and track inquiries originated in these events, our website and parish
contacts.
● Use our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage
communications with prospective families, track data, create reports and refer families to
the schools through the system then following their progress through successful
enrollment offering the school assistance as needed to close the deal
● Assist with the daily operation and processes of the CRM and the contacts with the
company on behalf of the Diocese and schools
● Work with interested families as they choose a school, including scheduling,
coordinating and following up after school visits
● Track enrollment data and marketing metrics to create reports to assist in determining
the most efficient enrollment and marketing initiatives and return on investment
● Responsible for the financial aid process for families including assistance with
applications, schools set up, and award granting.
● Assist schools with Spanish translation and interpretations when needed during the
families’ admissions and enrollment process and occasionally during conferences and
parent meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Strong English/Spanish communication skills.
● Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, unless the candidate has strong
previous experience in education, marketing, sales and/or public relations.
● Familiarity with Catholic school systems, especially in the Diocese is preferred
● Knowledge of and support for the mission of Catholic schools
● Open to working some evening and weekend hours (as needed)
● Proficiency in MS Office Suite
