The Basilica School of Saint Mary, a Catholic Pre-K through eight Parish School in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking an eighth grade English teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The English teacher will work closely with the Middle School team in a highly collaborative manner committed to offering excellence in student intellectual, spiritual, and character formation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in English and/or literary education, with an ability to engage students in activity based approach. Qualified candidates will fully embrace the mission of our Catholic school, which recognizes the infinite value of each student, seeks to develop the gifts of all, and nurtures them to be saints, stewards, and scholars, always with an eye to their eternal destiny. Ideal candidates will hold a Master's degree in science education or science, will hold or be willing to work towards certification, and have strong instructional experiences.
