Position: Vice Chancellor for Sacramental Records

Position Summary:
The Vice Chancellor for Sacramental Records oversees the daily operations of the Office of Sacramental Records, ensuring that the work is performed in a timely and professional manner. The Vice Chancellor is a team leader and manager and has expertise in implementing and supervising administrative processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervises the daily work of all sacramental records staff, including preparation of annual performance reviews of staff members.
2. Assesses the operating procedures and workflow of the Office of Sacramental Records and implements practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
3. Ensures that all sacramental records staff members receive adequate training, developmental, and corrective instruction.
4. Oversees the technical review of all sacramental records, ensures the accuracy and completeness of each record, to include verifying proper delegation for all incoming records of confirmation; approves the creation of sacramental records and their addition to the database.
5. Prepares certificates of sacraments celebrated in the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA for the Chancellor's signature.
6. Prepares the annual budget for the office input for Chancellor consideration and consolidation in the Chancery budget.
7. Interviews and supervises interns working in the Office of Sacramental Records, reviewing/verifying their data entry and serving as a professional mentor.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Master's Degree or equivalent preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing
• Experienced team leader and supervisor
• Expertise in using databases, and the creation and optimization of administrative processes and workflow rules
• Working knowledge of Catholic sacraments and sacramental records
• Salesforce knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of Military structure and bases/installations helpful
• Interpersonal skills and ability to motivate fellow employees
