John Paul II School: John Paul II School is a faith-filled community guided by the traditional teachings of the Catholic Church. Position Summary: John Paul II School is seeking a dedicated teacher to serve as our full-time Technology Teacher/Project Lead the Way Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. The ideal candidate will work closely with the President & Principal to foster a culture of virtue and faith, in addition to a strong desire to grow and learn, as critical thinkers who desire to follow God’s plan for his/her life while in the pursuit of excellence. The Technology/Project Lead the Way Teacher is responsible for classroom instruction of the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Design and Modeling and technology classes for grades 9-12.

Reports To: Principal
Essential Job Functions:
- Support and uphold the mission of Catholic education in the Diocese of Charleston
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding Project Lead the Way and Technology.
- Attend necessary training (including summer)
- Participate as an active member of the Technology Committee
- Introduce school selected computer applications to students
- Assist with the dissemination of materials related to computer technology
- Expand a Catholic mission and vision aligned STEM initiative at the high school
- Technology and coaching professional development
- Teach other assigned subjects
- Perform other duties as assigned by the President and Principal.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred in Technology Education or Instructional Technology, Math and/or Science.

- A faithful, practicing Catholic with devotion to the Catholic faith and its teachings who ideally has the ability to articulate and witness to the faith in the classroom and beyond.
- A joyful leader who can work collaboratively with others in a virtuous, charitable manner.
- Passionate about Catholic education and student formation.
- Experience in teaching PLTW, CAD or engineering courses at the middle or high school level.
- Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office applications, Google Docs for Education.
- Familiarity with basic troubleshooting for Windows machines.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: The requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, and telephones. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook and Excel. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Valid driver’s license required. This position involves standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching above shoulders. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds to transport files or materials.
