ST MARK Catholic Church in Vienna, VA has an opening for a Director of Religious Education/Faith Formation. This collaborative pastoral ministry includes responsibility for religious education for 300+ children in Pre K through 8th grade as well as Sacramental preparation, including FIRST COMMUNION, FIRST PENANCE and CONFIRMATION. Responsibilities for faith formation include OCIA, weekly Sunday adult education program, adult scripture study, sacramental preparation for infant BAPTISM and adult CONFIRMATION, and assistance in preparation for children's sacraments. Applicant must be a practicing Catholic in good standing, have experience in parish ministry and hold a bachelor's degree in theology or religious education with strong knowledge of Church teachings. Master's degree preferred. This is a full-time position with full benefits. References and background check required. Full time, twelve month position and offers a full benefits package.
