Job Overview:
We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish and English) Catholic Primary Aid to support our Montessori Primary environment, which serves 3-6 years old children. This role involves helping the teacher, assisting students, and creating a faith-based learning environment where children grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally. We are a small, tight-knit school and would love for someone to join who is interested in being involved with our community life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be open to following the directions of the lead teacher in helping with cleaning and organizing the children's works, managing the children and making materials.
- Be passionate about the Montessori method and fostering the independence of the children.
- Help integrate Catholic teachings, prayers, and values into lessons.
- Supervise students during lunch, and recess and assist with nap time.
- Communicate with parents and staff in both English and Spanish.
- Participate in school Masses, religious events, and community activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; education or child development degree preferred.
- Experience working with young children, ideally in a Montessori or Catholic school setting.
- **Must genuinely enjoy working with young children and be passionate about supporting their growth and development.**
- Active participation in the Catholic faith.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (both spoken and written).
- Ability to work well with children and be flexible in the classroom.
