ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director of Communications & Marketing leads the Communications & Marketing Office at Bishop Hendricken High School. This position is responsible for overseeing all of Bishop Hendricken's external affairs activities and branding efforts. The Director of Communications & Marketing reports to the Principal and supervises the Communications & Marketing Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and manage institution's external communications strategy across all platforms and media
• Serve as project manager for all communications and marketing efforts
• Develop and manage institution's communications/editorial calendar across all platforms (social, email, digital, PR)
• Oversee all media relations efforts, including pitching stories, serving as primary media contact, and coordinating interviews and information
• Administer institution's digital assets, including social media platforms, website, email marketing
• Serve as creative lead on all media projects, including video production and photography (shooting, compiling, editing, color correcting, audio mixing)
• Oversee all advertising and marketing collateral, including conceptualization, copywriting, scriptwriting, graphic design, layout, and production (print, TV, radio, digital, social)
• Serve as marketing lead for all projects of the Principal's and Admissions Offices
• Provide event management support for Principal's and Admissions Offices
• Serve as marketing and communications lead on all fundraising efforts
• Serve as publisher and managing editor of The Hawk Insider magazine
• Collaborate closely with departments, programs, and offices on communications strategy and marketing collateral
• Interface with media partners and marketing vendors
• Manage all crisis communications efforts, including statements, plans, and counseling spokespeople
• Serve as member of the Principal's Cabinet to counsel administration on communications, marketing, and brand
• Serve on key schoolwide committees to counsel members on effective communications strategy and planning
• Supervise the Communications & Marketing Manager

The Communications & Marketing Manager will work closely with several key collaborators, including, but not limited to:

• Director of Admissions
• Alumni Relations staff
QUALIFICATIONS
• An intentional Catholic disciple who is in good standing with the Catholic Church, who understands and supports the mission of the Church, the Diocese of Providence, and Bishop Hendricken High School.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
• At least 5 years of professional, full-time experience in marketing or communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven success in marketing strategy and execution across channels, including social, digital, and traditional media
• Outstanding writing, editing, and communication skills needed for all levels and types of communications, ranging from mass marketing emails to custom proposals, website, social media, press releases, event, etc.
• Excellent project management and collaboration abilities
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and stakeholders
• Experience in supervising a marketing team
• Data analysis and KPI reporting skills highly desirable
• Advanced proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and ConstantContact
• Experience with photography and video production, including shooting and editing
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic proficiency working with donor database platforms and CRMs such as GiveCampus, Blackbaud, and PowerSchool a plus
SALARY & BENEFITS
• Salary range is $60,000-$70,000
