Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc. has over 30 sites of combined office locations, housing developments and outreach services with over 100 staff under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer. The organization offers more than 30 programs and services to the people of Southwest Florida. Catholic Charities has a governing Board of Directors and several Advisory Board of Directors. Job Scope
The Regional Director is responsible for overseeing programs and services provided by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice. This includes programmatic oversight, staff management, funding/budget management, grant application/deliverables, performance improvement initiatives, donor relations, community partnership and fundraising activities. Participation in community partnership meetings, meeting with funders as needed, outreach of all parishes within the geographical area, conducting regional meetings and site visits, assisting Program Directors with problem solving and program development and providing monthly written reports to the COO and CEO.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for overseeing all programs and services provided by Catholic Charities
- Provide administrative and programmatic supervision as well as motivational leadership
- Research all client complaints and work with program managers to provide solutions
- Assist and support the program managers in any external audit process and credentialing
- Ensure that all licensure processes are within State and Federal requirements
- Assist and contribute to all fundraising committees within the district
- Network and partner with community providers and Catholic parish-based ministries within the district regarding program services and referral of clients
- Represent the agency on local planning, advisory and collaborative committees and groups
- Work to assist with the Grant and Funder relationships and with all other responsible activities including grant writing, compliance and reporting
- Continually strive to discover new sources of funding, both private and public, to grow the area
- Develop effective evaluations of programs including process and outcome measures and standards of care
- Prepare reports as required by the agency and funders
- Ensure that program and administrative record keeping is prompt and accurate
- Recruit, hire, evaluate, train and retain program staff
- Participate in budget development and management
- Ensure proper compliance with all training, safety and operational policies and procedures
- Participate in agency Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) program and accreditation
- Perform any other duties that are necessary to fulfill the mission of Catholic Charities, DOV
Requirements:
- Must be Catholic
- Master's Degree in Public Administration, Non-profit management or related fields with 3-5 years of management experience; or 8-10 years senior-level management experience with operational oversight.
- Proficient in speaking, writing and understanding English
- High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize and deliver results
- Sensitive to and respectful of cultural diversity amongst clients, staff and volunteers
- Excellent communication and listening skills that effectively represent Catholic Charities
- Strong work ethics and high ethical standards
- Successful completion of FDLE level II background screening
- Valid Florida Driver license: ability to drive agency vehicle and have reliable transportation.
