JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Director oversees the staff and activities of SSSM and provides oversight and management to SSSM staff to ensure alignment with program procedures and DCF Operations Manual, including DCF Connex.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under direction of the Director, the Assistant Director oversees the staff and activities of the SSSM hub office and operational units responsible for providing general administrative and/or fiscal management activities, program policy and planning services, along with varied social, community, and/or educational related services for the region. Provides supervisory oversight and management of SSSM staff, ensuring alignment with program procedures and DCF Operations Manual. Assist Director in the development of the program’s administrative and programmatic operations. Also, assist Director in developing and maintaining partnerships and collaborations with school districts and community resources to ensure program availability, opportunities and successes are marketed to promote program sustainability.
OTHER DUTIES: As assigned by SSSM Director.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Computer literacy, Communication Skills.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: 3 years of supervisory experience, 3 years post LCSW and supervisory certification preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in a related field (counseling, public administration, social work, etc.),
- LCSW required
- At least 5 years of experience in community organizing, developing community partnerships and project management.
- 5 years of experience analyzing, monitoring, maintaining, or implementing social service, community service, evidence-based programs, or any other human support/assistance program, 3 of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
- Note: Valid New Jersey driver’s license, safe driving record, and vehicle availability are required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED:
- Master’s Degree in a related field (counseling, public administration, social work, etc.).
