St. Vincent de Paul School in Bedford is hiring a Classroom Instructional Aide for 2024-2025.

Expectations:
A classroom aide is expected to be kind, helpful, professional and creative. Aides should be willing to
assist Lead Teachers and take the lead when necessary and appropriate.
Responsibilities:

Assist Lead Teacher during classroom hour
Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers in order to coordinate instructional efforts
Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations
Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers
Provide instructional assistance as planned or coordinated by the teacher
Assist in assessing student progress as directed, including proctoring the administration of tests, grading papers and maintaining confidential records
Provide student supervision as assigned. This includes classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, playground, gym, and field trips
Communicate effectively with staff members, students, parents, administrators and other contact person using tact and good judgment
Maintain a clean and orderly environment for students
Assist in the enforcement of classroom/school rules and the maintenance of appropriate records
Follow attendance, punctuality and proper dress rules
Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters
Respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Serve on school committees as required or appropriate
Demonstrate support the for the school and its mission, goals, and priorities
Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position
Maintain professionalism at all times: punctuality, dress code, cellphone, personal business
